The demand for renewable energy is increasing across both the industrial world and the developing countries. Especially the developing countries are starving for stable off-grid electricity. Fortunately, energy exists all around us in various forms - the challenge is to utilize the energy efficiently and get it into the system. Deep River AS is a Norwegian company founded in 2008. The company is actively working on research and development related to extract renewable energy from slow river-, ocean-, and tidal currents. Our main focus and priority is to extract energy from slow-moving river currents with our mobile power plant. Slow-moving water is a very little exploited energy resource. By harnessing the energy of rivers with our innovative technology, we have the opportunity to gain major market shares worldwide. The company has financial support from the government owned companies ‘Innovation Norway' and The Research Council of Norway. We also have a broad network and we're working closely with international technology and manufacturing suppliers.
