Deep Visuals develop applications for accessing digital image collections in novel ways, especially applicable to the "lay audience" or general public, rather than the professional expert. The standard access to digital collections is by a keyword search. We provide an entirely image-led experience whereby the user is presented with a montage of images from the collection, all related to each other and the user explores a path through the collection by following their personal interests. This opens up the whole collection rather than a narrow slice via searching. The technology is applicable to any digital image collection. We are currently focussing on collections from museums and art galleries, many of which have been digitised in recent years. We offer an entertaining way to access the collection that opens it up to all sectors of the community.
