DeKalb Kids Project, Inc. (DKP) is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a vision to build leaders among our youth. We focus on a variety of community concerns by hosting community cleanups, feeding those in need, giving out school supplies, and providing toiletries to those who are less fortunate. Character building events include partnering with local school systems for the My Brother's Keeper and Our Sister's Keeper Summit. We host special events where we teach children to grow their own garden, beautify their community and schools, giving away books and reading to students, and individualized mentoring. We have a spectrum of events scheduled this year to help students build themselves personally and professionally such as teaching students the basics for auto maintenance, financial literacy, promoting higher education, and teaching students about their rights as it compares to politics. Our goal is to inspire the youth to pursue higher education, understand their potential to impact change, and to reach for their dreams.
