The Automotive Expertise department is the largest department within DEKRA Belgium. Today, more than 150 000 expertise's are performed throughout Belgium on an annual basis. In consultation with the repairer and on behalf of the insurance or leasing company, we perform expertises and inspections for all vehicle types, this after an accident, damage by third parties or damage caused by calamities, such as hail or storm.With its Customs department, the Automotive Expertise department also offers customized solutions for insurers, leasing, automotive, industry and the public sector, such as: defence and/or assistance to the customer in the event of technical or economic disputes, expertise & control of second-hand vehicles, valuation Old Timers, … . The Fleet & Remarketing department is active in the field of End of term (EOT) inspections for short and long-term rental companies. The EOT vehicles are inspected for usage damage, presence of keys and documents. These inspections take place centralized on compound or decentralized with the driver. The administrative handling and sales of the vehicles is also handled by this department, on behalf of and for the account of the customer.DEKRA Belgium is also active in the Non-automotive sector. Damage expertise and valuation of buildings and construction sector is the core activity of this department. We expertise complex and major damages, determine the value of real estate, perform location descriptions and even estimate valuable items.The Investigations department consists of a team of dedicated and licensed investigators or private investigators. They are mainly concerned with: investigation into integrity and (insurance) fraud, theft damage (both vehicle and home burglaries), investigation of incapacity for work.DEKRA Claims Services is an expert in claims management for insurance companies, leasing companies, government agencies and companies. This department handles claims files for all insurance branches.
