Urban Country House & Park: A grade II* listed building. Following a £7 million restoration, Delapré Abbey opens its doors to the public for the first time in its 900 year history. It now welcomes local, national and international visitors to enjoy the fantastic historic venue. The Delapré Abbey Preservation Trust is both a charity and a limited company and was formed in 2006 to help Northampton Borough Council formulate a plan for the restoration and re-opening of the Abbey. The Trust is operating the Abbey as an engaging and exciting historic destination.Set amidst the splendour of mature parkland on the River Nene the site is easily accessible from the centre of Northampton and less than an hour from Birmingham or London. The adaptable venue is the perfect historical setting for every kind of occasion.
