Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust is a non-profit organization that promotes the preservation of farmland and wildlife habitat in the Fraser River estuary through co-operative land stewardship with local farmers. Through our stewardship programs, over 85,000 acres of winter cover crops, 13,600 acres of grassland set-asides and 10 km of hedgerows have been planted and maintained. Approximately $9.5 million has been disbursed to the farming communities in the Cities of Delta and Richmond, British Columbia to support these stewardship practices that improve soil health and biodiversity.
