Deluge Network's mission is to develop the infrastructure for direct Chain-to-Chain interoperability to facilitate integrated financial interactions across the blockchain ecosystem. Deluge Network simplifies the transfer of digital assets, by removing mediating silos, allowing participants to more easily and directly diversify their portfolio.Currently, Deluge Network focuses on facilitating the transfer of assets between Bitcoin and Ethereum, where fully 85% of the value in cryptocurrencies lies. With this as our first step, we intend on applying this learning to other blockchains in the future, with the ultimate goal of integrating all blockchains with each other via an underlying protocol. Deluge Network is doing this by backing Bitcoin with an ERC20 token, DBTC (Deluge Bitcoin), guaranteeing a mirroring of the value of Bitcoin on the Ethereum blockchain.
