Resurrected after 56 years, the famous Demory Paris has returned strongly with a love for beer and an equal love for Paris. Demory Paris is... One City, One Beer!Founded in 1827, Demory Paris was famous for its blonde and dark beers. In the late 19th century, sales exploded and Demory Paris beers were to be found everywhere in Paris. At its peak, production reached 130'000 hectolitres per year. The brewery itself was a famous landmark with a brewery restaurant and a dancehall, frequented by all the great celebrities of the time. Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir liked it so much, that they spend a good part of their youth dancing and drinking in the halls of Demory Paris. But despite all the success, two World Wars and the fierce competition following inventions, such as the railroad and artificial refrigeration, were too much to bear for Demory Paris and thus, 1953 marked the end of this legendary Parisian brewery. Now it's back! Half a century after the brewery closed its doors, a new chapter has started for Demory Paris and the city of Paris: The revival of this old and prestigious brewery. The goal is clear: Paris must have its own real brewery and to brew only beer of the highest quality - beers worthy to represent Paris and the Parisian lifestyle and "savoir vivre".
