He serves as a dental consultant to five major Indianapolis hospital sleep disorder clinics and has been active in their accreditation process. He is the only full time dentist treating patients in the state of Indiana designated as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Smith currently serves as President of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has been working successfully with oral appliances to treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea since 1993.Dr. Smith graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with an A.B. degree and from Indiana University School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree. He is married and has three children. Dr. Smith has served on many levels of organized dentistry throughout the years.
