The Department of Aeronautical Engineering was started at ADCET, Ashta in the Year 2013 with the objective of providing quality education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering to the Rural Masses & to cater the skilled manpower needs of the Aeronautical Industries. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering started with the Intake of 60 Students (Regular) & 20 Students (Direct SE), affiliated to the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The First Batch of 2013 – 2017 and 2014 - 2018 have successfully passed out from the department with good overall academic performance & Placement Record for eligible students. The Batch 2015 – 2019, 2016 – 2020, 2017 – 2021 are in the Final Year, Third year and Second Year of the B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) program. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at ADCET, Ashta is well equipped 10 laboratories to give the required practical & hands-on experience to the students, some of the mentionable equipment's are, Subsonic Wind Tunnel, Gas Turbine Engines, Radial Piston Engine, & Ultrasonic Testing Setup. The department also has Cessna 152 Trainer Aircraft with all the Instrument panels in a ground worthy condition to train the students. The department is well equipped with 40 Computers to cater the computing facility needs of the students. In the academic year of 2017 – 2018 three laboratories are proposed for the development with the industry tie-up covering the areas of Composites, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle & Flight Simulation. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering has signed MoU's with organizations such as GLOINNT Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, P3 Consulting Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, Parul Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Blue Sky Aviation Consultancy, Pondicherry & Throttle Aerospace Systems, Bengaluru with the objective to bridge the gap between the industry and the institute and also to promote research activities. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering promotes the culture of research and industry – institute interaction among all the faculty members and students by allowing them to attend various industries and shows that connect industry and institutes.
