Department of Business Education was established in 1962 in IER offers Master of Business Education programme to (a) train business teachers for the Government Commercial Institutes and Government Colleges of Commerce, and (b) prepare business personnel of Executive and Junior Executive level. Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Lahore is one of the premier and prestigious institutes of education in Pakistan. The institute was established in 1960 in cooperation with the School of Education, Indiana University, USA. Since 1962, the department has been producing quality graduates in the fields of Business (Executives) and Education (Lecturers).
