Our mission is to offer an attractive and stimulating environment for students of mathematics at all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and to carry out cutting edge research in a wide spectrum of areas. In addition to our general Bachelor, Master and PhD programme, we house the elite degree programs TopMath and FIM (Finance and Information Management). A particular asset are our strong links to ''outside users'' of mathematics. We are one of the leading centers in Europe at the interface of mathematics with physics, chemistry, engineering, life sciences, economics. Studying mathematics at TUM means you don't just learn about the beautiful abstract foundations of our field, but also about its many exciting links to these areas
