The Desert Sounds Chorus is a chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society, which has over 30,000 singers in choruses all over the United States and in Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Japan, and other countries. It is our love of close harmony and the fellowship of others with similar interests that has created this global fascination with this musical form unique to the United States. We greatly enjoy sharing this special sound with any and all who choose to listen. Barbershop quartets have been a part of the fabric of Americana since the nineteenth century. The thrill of close harmony entertains many audiences today and will probably continue as long as people share in the excitement.
