Design Technology, a certified HUB-zone business, with Artone Manufacturing, a certified AWI manufacturer of Jamestown, New York, will work directly with the Army Corp of Engineers and NAVFAC to provide specialized cabinetry to Department of Defense prime contractors for use in American military facilities in conjunction with BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) projects. These projects include, but are not limited to military barracks and training facilities, National Guard facilities and force protection projects. From concept to completion, Design Technology and Artone Manufacturing will adhere to the US Green Building Council's mission "to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment," by working with the above mentioned parties to stay within the guidelines set forth by this mission and thus maximizing the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) credits for each specified project.Design Technology and Artone Manufacturing strive to work with suppliers who share the same environmental objectives as the US Green Building Council and the Forest Stewardship Council of the United States. These principles will contribute to a sustainable environment by taking advantage of recycled and renewable resources as well as to assure the products are manufactured to receive the maximum value within the LEED program.
