Designers of Change was created to explore one question: how far can community-based design go in providing answers to the challenges that Cape Town faces?Activities focus on inspiring inclusive groups to seek opportunities for change and to feel confident in a range of design skills. Collaborating with the Craft and Design Institute, 75 Harrington Street, and the Cape Institute for Architecture as well as many others.Between 2016 - 2018, the Designers of Change network focused on making physically and socially inclusive spaces, helping people to learn 21st Century (design) skills and how to develop a positive mindset, ultimately aiming to support ways to challenge the status quo through improved public feedback / co-design capacity, as well as collaboration on speculative design projects.From 2019 onwards we will be expanding the free resources and guidance available on our website to support anyone interested in using or improving Co-design and Community Participation methods.www.designersofchange.com
