Approximately 10% of the world has a disability and 10% of this section of the population require wheelchairs because their ability to walk is limited.Unfortunately, only 5 to 15% of these individuals have access to an appropriate one.Persons with disabilities are more likely to experience unfavorable adverse socio-economic outcomes such as less education, poorer health outcomes, lower levels of employment, and higher poverty rates.Desserve is offering an online platform for measurement and assessment of wheelchair users by enabling real time support and efficiency in the process of selection, prescription and provision of wheelchairs with an objective to prevent factors that can result to unhealthy secondary conditions or death while capturing valuable data.Also Desserve will continuously deliver user guide and critical training programs for caregivers, clinicians and technicians thereby creating job opportunities for a good fraction of the unemployed in Nigeria and Africa at large. Lastly Desserve aims at delivering rehabilitation and skill acquisition programs for unemployed wheelchair users with the objectives to promote inclusion, eradicate poverty and enhancing trade opportunities.
