Det norske maskinistforbund - DNMF - er en partipolitisk uavhengig organisasjon. Forbundet er med i Unio.- Som medlem opptas enhver med norsk eller likeverdig utenlandsk maskinistsertifikat.- Som medlem opptas også annet teknisk personell innenfor relatert virksomhet.Eksempler: Borepersonell på flyttbare borerigger, elektrikere, kraftstasjonspersonell, branntjenestemenn og teknisk ansatte i forbrenningsanlegg.Norwegian Union of Marine Engineers – NUME – (Norwegian abb: DNMF)is an organization independent of all political parties. The Union is amember of the confederation UNIO. Since 1896 the Union has published its trade journal Norsk Maskin-Tidende.In 2008 this journal was replaced by the trade journal, Maritim Logg, which ispublished jointly by the three Norwegian Unions for seamen. In addition tothe head office in Oslo, the Union also has one local office: The district officein Ålesund opened in 1995. The Union also has 18 local branches.Who may become members?* Anyone holding a Norwegian or equivalent foreign engineercertificate is entitled to membership.* Other technical personnel within the Union's field of interestmay also be accepted.Examples: Technical personnel on drilling rigs, electricians, powerstation personnel and others.
