The Development Solutions Centre (DSC) is an indigenous Ghanaian home grown NGO whose operations is at the cutting edge of SME and grass root producer groups' organizational development in Ghana today. Within a period of 6 years, DSC has become one of the leading indigenous NGOs with good governance and organisational structures in place and is rubbing shoulders with the International NGOs. This project presents another opportunity to further reinforce Ghana Government's support to strengthen progressive indigenous NGOs that could serve as role models to others. The DSC has the technical expertise and hands-on Business Development Service (BDS) experience for facilitating and ensuring grassroots economic and social development in West Africa. DSC has supported farmer based organizations, input suppliers, food processors and financial service providers among others, to identify problems; formulate solutions; design projects with budgets and implementation plans that meet acceptable accountability standards. Our core strength is in organizing work for roll out. Once a project is thoroughly thought through with potential clients and the requisite structures, processes, and procedures clearly outlined, half what is required for it to be successful is accomplished. DSC has been a lone voice in the Ghanaian development arena advocating for the use of participatory and systems approaches in project development and subsequent implementation.
