DFI Training Services Details
The DFI Training Services is an international training and consulting firm, with a client-network of over 500 private and government business corporations, banks, and finance institutions in Asia, Africa and the Pacific region.It was established in 1971 as a training & development center of the Private Development Corporation of the Philippines (PDCP), which was founded in 1963 with the assistance of the World Bank-IBRD, IFC,USAID, and other multi-lateral funding agencies. The Central Bank of the Philippines commissioned the DFI in 2002 to be its provider on Corporate Governance and Risk Management. The DFI Training Services was also accredited by the Insurance Commission of the Department of Finance to handle Corporate Governance Orientation for directors and officers of insurance companies. To date, more than 4,000 Directors and Trustees of banks, finance institutions and other business corporations have attended the said programs at the DFI Training Services.International and in-country training programs on key areas of business operations are conducted by the DFI regularly. These programs may be specially designed for a requesting institution. Its faculty conducted training in Remedial Management to the officers of the East African Development Bank in Uganda. Its consultants stayed in Ghana for 5 years to rehabilitate a banking institution. Recently, DFI Training Services has expanded and is catering to different BPOs for employee referrals and endorsements.
