The goal of Dhaqan and Debate is to: 1) Provide a summer boot camp for Somali high school students to help them develop a sense of agency and self-empowerment while also bridging the knowledge gap about the systems and politics that affect them through a debate-centered civic engagement program. 2) Collaborate with school districts to be culturally and religiously inclusive of the growing presence of Somali and Muslim students.
