Dhriti Foundation was founded with the purpose of exploring and developing sustainable livelihoods for the underserved sections of society. We have strived to understand the hardships faced by our focus groups in achieving financial independence. The larger aim is to provide the means necessary to uplift communities out of poverty without charity. We at Dhriti Foundation establish trust with communities so that we can understand and serve them better. We have worked with Partner NGO's, CSRs, governmental agencies and commercial organisations at different points to service the needs of our communities.Dhriti Foundation works with the urban poor and vulnerable populace of Mumbai. Urban poor in Mumbai live in high density clusters with social and economic challenges differing significantly in short geographical distances. At Dhriti we have found that access to social capital in communities is crucial for successful implementation of progressive changes.
