The Diaconia ranks among one of biggiest, well established, leading NGOs in the Czech Republic. The calling of the Diaconia of the ECCB is to help all those who need assistance because of age, illness, or other crisis situations in their lives.Diaconia provides its services to everybody, without making any distinction because of their religious or other beliefs, their nationality, colour, or sex. Its aim in providing its services is to help its clients (concerning more than 1000 of clients daily) become integrated into society and to live a life of dignity, in spite of the disadvantages they experience.Services are provided in the social, medical, educational and pastoral fields in 45 Diaconia centres and special schools situated all over the Czech Republic.
