We provide a streamlined middle-ware platform to secure, authorize and authenticate medical image systems communication, while facilitating patients' access to results and decreasing operational costs.Currently, there are no viable solutions on the market to ensure authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, confidentiality and integrity related to medical image transfers.This leaves hospitals that deal with medical imaging exposed to numerous different attacks and vulnerable to data leakage and HIPAA fines.To make matters even worse, many hospitals have no security solution at all, leaving them completely open to potential medical imaging data breaches or other attacks. Our research indicates that there are around 1500 potentially vulnerable DICOM servers in the United States. Hospitals will benefit by applying a new layer of security on the top of the current infrastructure without disrupting their current process.
