We are the creators of "Lesewert" (reading value). In the digital world, the relevance of content can be measured in figures. Print media, on the other hand, had to rely on the intuition of their editors. The demand for objective feedback on reader behavior is, of course, enormous.With Lesewert, we have developed an analysis method that for the first time offers live reader feedback similar to digital media. Since 2011, hundreds of subscribers to daily newspapers such as the Sächsische Zeitung or magazines such as DER SPIEGEL have been giving feedback on how they use their medium. To do this, they use a scanning pen to capture the line at which they stopped reading all the texts they have read. The line is transferred to a database via the "Lesewert"-app. Finally, the editors receive live statistics for each individual article: This reading value is similar to a detailed audience rating.
