Nonprofit Organization Management - Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
Diesel Emissions Justice Foundation (DEJF) was established as a stichting under Dutch law on 3 July 2019. This non-profit foundation is a necessary step in order to bring collective tort proceedings for Dutch car owners against car manufacturers in the Netherlands and seek to obtain fair and adequate damages for consumers across the continent of Europe in a collective settlement. While there are no differences in the defective vehicles sold in Europe and elsewhere in the world, car manufacturers have shamefully refused to accept responsibility for the harm they have caused European consumers. The objective of the Foundation is to protect the environment and represent the interests of consumers who have been harmed by emissions scandals. We believe now is the right time to bring collective proceedings and seek compensation for impacted consumers, using the legal tool kit available in the Netherlands. The Foundation is being advised by a leading group of attorneys and industry professionals from around the world. These professionals are globally recognized as the industry leaders in automotive and collective redress and have tremendous experience in pursuing, resolving and administering collective actions around the world.
