Angela Tsounis is the creator of Different from the Other Kids - A Book of Interviews and Weekly Podcast for Parents of Challenging Children. Angela aims to support parents of children who present as more challenging than others. This effort is meant to support parents who don't have the resources to help themselves and their children fully. Left to the "system" the child may or may not get a diagnosis or treatment plan. How do we expect parents, isolated through stigma or confronted with lack of resources, to gain understanding? How do we expect parents not to fall into defeat or isolation without support? This is an effort to support and, at times, educate caregivers while building a community of shared experience for those who refuse to give up. We want to build a community for those who refuse to accept the isolation of parents, whose children struggle with mental health.There is no preaching. There is no judgement. Just a honest conversation that few seem interested in having.There is only one question left... If this were possible, what would that mean to our children? Especially as they face the world and become the best they can be.
