MISSIONRooted in the ethic of service-leadership, Dig In Community's mission is to grow future environmental leaders by providing opportunities for all youth to get outside, connect with nature, expand environmental literacy, and serve their community in the Greater Portland, Oregon area. VISIONWe envision an Oregon where all young people are connected to nature, to each other, and to their community through hands on-watershed restoration.WHAT WE DODig In Community is a science-based environmental restoration program where students adopt a natural area site for 3-5 years. We are currently working with 20 schools at 15 different restoration sites throughout the Portland Metro area. Our programs focus on on community engagement, education, and health, while restoring the environment.
