As evidenced by hospitality pioneers like David Chang, Ian Schrager and the late, oh-so-great Anthony Bourdain, it is clear that our industry has a story to tell. Using food, drink, service and space as key ingredients, the best chefs, bartenders, tastemakers and operators are trying with all their might to share their story - a story which moves past necessary sustenance or shelter and connects guests to the more visceral elements of hospitality. It is a noble pursuit. Then there is Google. Then there is Trip Advisor. Then there is Yelp. Despite their effort, the stories of the hospitality industry are often relegated to 10 seconds of a guest's brightly backlit iPhone screen. Two images of their visit and one scathing remark later (about something silly and unrelated to your business, like "a cumbersome coat check process"), their story is told and your reputation stands to be ruined. We are here to change that. For as long as I can remember I've been obsessed with great stories. Sharing them, hearing them, creating them. I launched Dig In because hospitality stories - your stories - are the ones that allow me to unleash my passion. Armed with a penchant for novelty and an ability to connect eager audiences with moving content, Dig In is a storytelling platform which aims to put your authenticity center stage. If you have a passion for your craft and feel consumer reviews aren't capturing the essence of your story - Let's Dig In!
