The Diplomatic Training Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia as a legal entity under public law was founded in 2012. On April 24, 2014, it was awarded the name of the distinguished Georgian diplomat and politician Levan Mikeladze. In September 2014, Diplomatic Training Center became a member of "International Forum on Diplomatic Training" (IFDT). In March 2018, in order to carry out research activities Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute (DTRI) was established on the basis of Diplomatic Training Center. The specific goals of the Institute are:*Ensure high quality of continual professional development of the diplomatic Corps*Develop a lecture cycle of teaching / knowledge sharing for other target groups*Institutionalization of research and analytical activities
