Direct Conversion's roots go back to 1997 when XCounter AB was founded. Since then we've been at the forefront of photon counting X-ray technology. Following the acquisition of Ajat in 2009, Direct Conversion has grown significantly; one company with two brands. Our products combine the high performance of CdTe, CdZnTe and Si direct conversion X-ray sensors with the latest photon counting, spectral imaging and more conventional charge integration technology. The results are detectors that deliver considerable advantages over conventional devices; setting new standards in imaging speed, sensitivity and resolution.
