Directorate for Emergency Communication (DNK) is a state administrative body with responsibility for the operation and development of Nødnett in Norway as the main responsibility. The ongoing Nødnett project which will establish Nødnett as a nationwide digital radio network for emergency and public safety services is led by DNK and is due to be completed in 2015. The directorate for Emergency Communication was established April the 1st 2007, and is subordinated The Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
