Direkcija za mere i dragocene metale (DMDM) je državni organ u sastavu Ministarstva privrede, i obavlja sledeće poslove: • stara se o sistemu zakonskih mernih jedinica u Republici Srbiji; • razvija, ostvaruje, proglašava, čuva, održava, usavršava etalone u Republici Srbiji; • obezbeđuje metrološku sledivost; • obavlja poslove metrološke ekspertize; • sprovodi ispitivanje prethodno upakovanih proizvoda, radi provere ispunjenosti metroloških zahteva; • predstavlja Republiku Srbiju u međunarodnim i regionalnim metrološkim organizacijama i uspostavlja saradnju u oblasti metrologije; • vrši metrološki nadzor; • odlučuje u upravnim postupcima iz oblasti metrologije; • učestvuje u pripremi propisa iz oblasti metrologije; • vodi registar merila koja podležu zakonskoj kontroli; • obezbeđuje metrološke informacije i izdaje službeno glasilo; • distribucije vremena; • obavlja i druge poslove iz oblasti metrologije u skladu sa zakonom; Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals (DMDM) is public authority within the Ministry of Economy, and it is responsible to: • care of the legal units of measurement system in the Republic of Serbia; • develop, realize, keep up, maintain and improve the measurement standards of the Republic of Serbia; • provide metrological traceability; • provide of metrology-related expertise; • test of the pre-packaged product to check if they meet metrological requirements; • represent of the Republic of Serbia in international and regional organizations and perform cooperation in the field of metrology; • perform metrological supervision; • decide in administrative proceedings in the field of metrology; • prepare regulations in the field of metrology; • keep the register of measuring instruments subjects to legal control; • ensure of metrology-related information and issue of its own bulletin; • perform time dissemination activities; • perform other tasks in the field of the metrology in accordance with the Law;
