Semiconductors - Irvine, California, United States
Technologically, the US is at the point in history where it makes financial sense for many commercial & industrial electricity consumers to produce and store a significant part of the electricity they consume ('prosumers').It is therefore time to start simplifying the electricity market by ending third-party ownership of electricity generation and storage facilities (whether it is by a traditional electric monopoly or one of the new so-called "green utilities"). Electricity generation and storage facilities will be to buildings like restrooms or parking lots in the coming years, they will just come with them from day one.DFP's plan is to keep spending the next decade eliminating commercial/industrial electric bills, powering electric vehicles in commercial areas, and progressively iterate to add other services such as water bill saving solutions, as the net-zero regulations deadline for commercial buildings in California approaches (2030 is around the corner). Other US states and countries will follow. The future is in self-sufficient smart buildings which also produce and store the ‘fuel' for the transportation of their occupants and visitors, as transportation progressively gets electrified. That's why DFP's mission is to ultimately become a leader in designing, building, and maintaining such buildings. In that future scenario, monopolies like electricity or water companies and oligopolies like oil companies will see their markets fragmented and play an extremely diminished role, same as landline telephony companies nowadays. In other words, there is a convergence of technologies at the level of: Energy production/storage. Construction. Transportation.Companies like Tesla are at the forefront of the convergence of energy production/storage and transportation. However, there are no leaders yet at the forefront of the convergence of energy production/storage and construction, and that is where we want to carve our niche.
