Disability Action for America is a Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated to inclusive justice for all Americans with and without disabilities. After the 2016 presidential election Dylan Bulkeley and Colleen Flanagan recognized the continuing unmet need for disability rights to be included in the political dialogue. For too long disability has only been discussed in a medical model ignoring the important civil rights aspects of disability justice. We are a nationally focused PAC who believes disability should never be a barrier to the American dream. We value accessibility in its many forms and will fight for inclusion of people with disabilities (PWD) in the workforce, the school yard and every aspect of American life. Our core objectives are to organize and mobilize the disability vote. One in every six eligible voters is a person with a disability, this massive voting bloc desperately wants systemic change in healthcare, employment, transportation, immigration and other social policies to include disability rights. Disability is a social identity and not a problem to be fixed or cured. Disability Action for America believes disability is a natural part of human life and shouldn't be a barrier to achieve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in AmericaOur PAC is focused on electing candidates to federal office and will be active in the 2018 midterms and the 2020 presidential election. There are many ways to be involved with our movement and we invite everyone to participate.
