DiscoCrew Events came to life in 2019 when Alex Cannizzaro saw a gap in the market and decided to fill it. With a background in small business, having owned multiple juice bars and florists in her early-20's, Alex was aware of the struggles small business owners face. For wineries and distilleries especially, connecting with consumers can be tough, given the physical distance between the product and the consumer.Concept creation is Alex's passion, so she set our creating events to enhance growth within the wine industry. Here, VinoDisco was born. A huge success for local wineries, and enormous amounts of positive feedback from attendees later, Alex decided it was time to step up the game and hold an event for all the distilleries out there, GinGin. GinGin was another huge success and both events are now run regularly, sometimes even combined to bring the wineries and distilleries together!In late-2020, Alex met Elke and you know how it goes, as all great stories do! They brainstormed an even bigger event that would flip the concepts of VinoDisco and GinGin on their heads. WineNot was created and the pilot event kicked off in April 2021, taking the consumers to the wineries rather than the wineries to the consumers. The full day, hop-on hop-off bus tour structure meant that the event was perfect for everyone; attendees could move at their own pace between venues and taste to their hearts content!Elke's marketing, communications and events background made her the perfect partner for Alex, helping to bring the ideas to life and spread our messages far and wide.Continually developing new concepts, ideas, creations and events, we are forever striving to showcase the amazing products that SA has on offer.
