Discovery Parks provides space, mentorship and community to British Columbia technology startups. The GENERATOR The GENERATOR was established in 2011 through a partnership between Discovery Parks and the City of Vancouver. Discovery Parks' GENERATOR competition provides a rent-free modern co-working space to innovative British Columbia tech startups for one year. Competition winners enjoy the benefit of working in a professional space located in vibrant Chinatown, while conserving their cash and allowing them to focus on their business. Competition winners receive co-working space at The GENERATOR for 12 months (rent free), blazing fast fibre internet, BC Tech and/or LifeSciencesBC memberships, social events, decent coffee (and other hot beverages!), and more… all with no strings attached! We also offer a matching Business Education Allowance to company CEOs to use toward their education and training. And our community partners provide additional programming that spans educational events, networking opportunities, and corporate coaching. The cross-pollination of ideas and the sharing of experiences between companies at The GENERATOR provide a unique and rewarding co-working environment!Winning companies have the opportunity to compete in the subsequent competition year and win an additional 12 months at The GENERATOR! Our History Discovery Parks has been on a mission since 1979 to see technology become the most productive, economically important, and socially relevant industry in British Columbia. Discovery Parks has provided homes to over 250 companies, housed in 16 buildings, developed in 8 locations while also transferring over $21 million dollars back into BC's Innovation Community.
