A relatively new company, District Theatre was founded by Hamilton and Loveless last year, launching with our debut show 'The Town' at the Drayton Arms Theatre in September 2019. Our tragicomedy 'we don't have to do this', about their 60 days of protest outside Westminster, is currently in development.We want to make theatre that excites, that enrages, that makes people laugh, cry and come out on the other side somehow more able to connect with other humans. That's what we believe theatre is for.We make work that is often silly, sometimes political, and which always searches for the grey area. We like contradictions, happy rage and teary silliness and jokes that come out of being really pissed off.
