We provide youth with knowledge, skills, and community connections that enable them to engage with social justice issues in their communities.History of DIVAS: While the organization's commitment is to work with both girls and boys in its community, its name DIVAS, is an acronym for Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences, remains relevant as women have been and continue to be anchors for community building in neighborhoods across the United States. The organization itself, which was founded by women, continues to be led by women who are fostering social justice change in NYC.
