Dodgeball Federation Australia (DFA) is the official governing body that coordinates, governs and develops the sport of Dodgeball, in Australia. DFA is a recognised National Sporting Organisation (NSO) by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and is an affiliate of the World Dodgeball Association (WDA). DFA is home of the Chemist Warehouse Australian Dodgeroos team and has a national affiliate network of leagues, clubs, community groups, schools and members. WDA is the official world governing body for dodgeball, working as a not for profit social enterprise across six continents in partnership with 60+ national federations, delivering to over 70 million people worldwide. The WDA successfully achieved Global Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF) Observer Status in 2017 to enable National Federations to secure National Olympic Committee and/or National Sports Association recognition. The DFA is also an affiliate member of the Asian Dodgeball Federation (ADF), where our goal is to aid the development of the sport across Asia, and enhance the sport's profile within the federation.DFA's mission is to cultivate the development of dodgeball and pathways, raise the profile of the sport and grow participation rates of dodgeball across the country. Development programs, social activities, coaching and tournaments will be run around the country – helping us identity key areas which will aid in the growth of the sport, all the way through to our national teams, the Dodgeroos.The DFA is preparing to send the Dodgeroos Men's, Women's and Mixed teams to the Dodgeball World Cup in Madison Square Garden NYC 3-4 August 2018. www.dodgeballfederationaustralia.com.au
