The Doina - Association of Romanian and Moldavian Immigrants of the Algarve is a non-profit association and has as main objectives:-Protect the specific rights and interests of immigrants and their descendants resident in Portugal;-Conduct socio-cultural events and promotion of cultural ex-changes with other countries;-Establish protocols with financial, social, cultural, medical and family assistance organizations, in order to achieve its objectives;-Develop social intervention projects with the objective of promoting the social, cultural, professional and economic integration of all citizens. Carrying out a set of activities that promote equality between men and women, equality of oppor-tunity for all citizens, fight against gender violence and do-mestic violence, as well as combating human trafficking;-Promote formal and non-formal education actions, including professional training, workshops, seminars, lectures, confe-rences, forums, and meetings;-Promote professional training projects that respond to the effective needs of members, users, beneficiaries of the associ-ation and civil society agents, with the aim of promoting their personal, social, cultural, professional and economic integrati-on in the Portuguese society, namely in the Algarve region .
