Doing Social (DS) is a social enterprise with a very clear purpose: to promote all forms of social enterprise and social entrepreneurship that are led by a social mission.Our vision for the UK is for increased social mobility, social and economic equality and poverty eradication.Our target beneficiaries are people of working age who are on low (or no) income; in particular people and groups living in low-income communities, single parents, the long-term unemployed and young people/students.We deliver our mission through three projects:1. Partnerships: Doing Social offers a partnership to universities, local authorities, corporate sponsors and others interested in supporting and strengthening social enterprise ecosystems that enable, support and help to sustain effective social enterprise and social entrepreneurship.2. Social Enterprise Festival: Doing Social manages the company. The Festival is an exciting 3-5 day event for the sector that promotes, celebrates and also develops capacity in the social change space.3. Social Entrepreneur's Journey: Doing Social seeks to inspire people to progress good ideas for social change through finding and sharing the stories of very ordinary people that are doing extraordinary things, having started with a simple idea and few resources - change-makers who are are improving their own life chances in the process.
