DonandMerit is a brand that creates products with a purpose – fusing great style, comfort and functionality with a force for good in the world. DonandMerit's shirts have 5 "hidden" zipper pockets, ideal for the phone, wallet and passport and as appropriate for casual day at work, as to dinner or while travelling. The shirts are designed in Barcelona and made in Spain, using 100% Italian fabrics. For every shirt sold, DonandMerit donates $5 to charity: water to help provide clean drinking water to communities with an urgent need.History:DonandMerit has its origin back in 2008 during a holiday/cooperation trip to Ethiopia in which founders, Joan Vinyets and Johanna Thörnblad, personally witnessed the extreme need for clean drinking water in rural Ethiopia and the devastating effects on the health and life quality of women and children as a consequence.The experience triggered their desire to develop a business concept that could provide sustainable funding for water projects in the developing world. Meanwhile, Joan, a designer and practicing anthropologist, noticed how men across cultures struggled with fitting basic possessions like a wallet and phone in their overstuffed pants.In 2014 DonandMerit launched its first product; an elegant shirt in top quality fabrics with five "invisible" pockets - equally suitable for a night on the town as everyday occasions when wearing a jacket isn't convenient. The unique positioning of the pockets, below the arm and with easy access from the front of the chest, assures maximum comfort and discretion.* DonandMerit donates $5 to its giving partner, www.charitywater.org, for every shirt sold.
