The game of "Telephone" with doodling. Given no context, a player doodles the provided phrase or describes a stranger's drawing. Doodle or Die was originally built for Node Knockout, a coding competition in which teams around the world attempt to build something from scratch in 48 hours using Node.JS. Originally, the goal was to create a competitive game, but art assets couldn't be created fast enough or of good quality, so the goal shifted into players creating art for the game. This idea became the basis of Doodle or Die's gameplay. Doodle or Die managed to win the competition for "Most Fun" and lead to amazingly fast viral growth, which continues to this day.
