Dossofiorito are the designers Livia Rossi (1980) and Gianluca Giabardo (1982).The studio, whose name come from an old salvaged neon sign, was founded in 2012 in Verona.In their projects, Livia and Gianluca aim to combine a wide contextual research, that draws each time from different fields and disciplines, with an innovative use of traditional crafts and with an attention to the use of materials.In the old car workshop in the suburbs of Verona that the studio inhabits, the duo carries out in an empiric way its researches on forms and materials.Dossofiorito's works, being them commissions from privates, companies or institution, site-specific installations, the ideation of kids workshops or self initiated collections of objects, share a performative and relational quality and the ability to stimulate profound considerations that go beyond the physicality of the object and its immediate fruition.
