In fact, there are as many viable and valuable approaches to recovery as there are Veterans. Because we understand that every veteran is unique, Double M Ranch (DMR) has developed an array of programs — each designed to address the ever- changing needs of veterans and their families.DMR Help/Therapy Ranch program, encourages economic and social empowerment and offer opportunities for lasting social and economic stability. Our Program support the long-term recovery of veterans - by connecting them with fellow veterans and their community. DMR's Program helps veterans make the most of their rehabilitation, so they can live a more active, fulfilling, and productive life.Our Program provides long-term initiatives that support/help veterans overcome the many challenges of readjustment, and to build a healthy, meaningful life and relationships. Find and harvest food in the woods. 5. Learn to garden 6. Hunting (special help to veterans with special Needs)Veterans make up 12% of the adult homeless population.70% of homeless veterans suffer from substance abuse, while 50% experience mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which makes it harder to maintain relationships and hold down a jobWest Virginia has one of the largest veterans populations in the country175,000+-member community of former military men and women Many veterans are in poverty, homeless, home bound - due to their disabilities/PTSD, and are commonly overlooked by society.DMR is assisting in helping Veterans that are in special need. About 22 veterans take their lives everyday. One of Our goals is to inform and help the community understand the needs of veterans.Double M Ranch is a Social services organized efforts and/or services that help to improve and help advance social well being .
