Dovetail Electric Aviation Pty Ltd (Dovetail) is a company formed by Sydney Aviation Holdings (owner of Sydney Seaplanes) and Dante Aeronautical.Our vision is to lead the regional and general aviation industry into an exciting new, sustainable era by enabling aviation operators to fly commercially viable regional routes in nil emission, electric powered aircraft.Dovetail is poised to become a global player and exporter of technology developed and integrated in Australia to the rest of the world.Dovetail will be at the forefront of developing, certifying and distributing electric powered, nil emission propulsion systems for existing commuter aircraft– converting legacy aircraft into electric aircraft. Aside from zero emission flights,the benefits to the operator include significantly lower adoption costs, energycosts and maintenance costs.This plan will connect with a longer term vision to develop a completely newregional aircraft. Experience gained with our retrofit business will augment the power of Distributed Electric Propulsion and an optimized aerodynamic integrated design (with initial concept design work already completed by Dante).Dovetail's headquarters and Directors are based in Australia, but with key personnel, customers and R&D also undertaken in Europe this opportunity will well and truly have global appeal.
