Dowling Investment Group is a "long/short" investment manager whose goal is to obtain positive returns for our clients in all market environments. By having the capability of managing money on both the "long side" as well as the "short side", we feel we offer a sound alternative to traditional money managers who are only able to manage money on the "long side" of the market. As investment managers, we feel strongly that at a minimum every investor's portfolio should allocate a portion of their total portfolio to a manager who has the ability to manage money in all market environments. This is just sound asset diversification. Recent stock market environments have proven that sound asset diversification is a must in today's world of investing.
