DownWest Semesters inspires and educates the next generation of leaders by offering thoughtful gap adventures rooted in the stories, histories, mountains, rivers and deserts of the West. Step out of your comfort zone to try something new alongside a supportive group of peers and with the guidance and mentorship of experienced DownWest instructors. Backpack, bike tour, raft, rock climb and earn a Wilderness First Aid certification while adventuring in Colorado, Utah and Arizona on trips ranging from two to five weeks. Programs include an immersive leadership curriculum and readings and discussion-based lessons on issues facing the west. Grow as a leader. Be inspired.
