Accounting - N/A, N/A, N/A
DQ Tax Service's founder, Dewayne Queen, has been preparing Federal and State income tax returns for Clients since 1992. He attends workshops and update seminars to keep abreast of the current trends relating to income tax matters. Dewayne is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and is an authorized IRS e-file provider. In 2011, Dewayne studied and passed the Internal Revenue Service's intensive Enrolled Agent Exams covering all aspects of federal taxation. This Special Enrollment Examination required a passing score in all three exams: Part 1-Individual; Part 2-Business; and Part 3-Representation, Practice, and Procedures. The Enrolled Agent (EA) designation recognizes demonstrated knowledge and assures clients that the tax professional is up-to-date on the latest tax law changes and can represent clients before the examination division of the IRS. The right to represent taxpayers before the IRS is awarded only to selected groups of individuals, including attorneys, certified public accountants (CPAs), Enrolled Agents, and enrolled actuaries. To retain the status of an Enrolled Agent, individuals must complete a minimum of 16 continuing education credits (CPEs) per year, and a total of 72 CPEs in each three-year cycle. Enrolled Agents are also governed under stringent rules set forth by the IRS.
