Dr. Trucker® is an organization that is dedicated to help make the lives of truckers more workable, healthy and enjoyable. The approach is holistic. Although the concept was developed over 20 years ago, bringing the idea to reality has been a long and arduous course. The original concept focused on Healthcare alone, but with time and research, the original ideas have greatly expanded. Truckers' healthcare has been a significant problem since truckers do not have the time to sit in the doctors' offices or clinics, as their income depends on miles covered. It is the goal of the Dr. Trucker® Organization to help develop healthcare facilities near or attached to truck stops that will give needed healthcare within a matter of minutes to the needy trucker. The need for quick dental care is also recognized and will be met. Proper and readily available food, plus comfortable shower and rest facilities will be the ultimate goals.
